Founder & CEO Bio
Michelle Khouri is the CEO & Founder of FRQNCY Media, host of The Cultured Podcast, and executive producer for Total Refresh, Raising the Torch, InCharge With DVF, Hidden Voices, and several podcasts in development. Michelle has felt a deep connection to the world of sound since she was a toddler. She was a trained singer and musical theater performer before briefly working in A&R for Interscope Records. A decade-long career in marketing and communications unfolded before she founded FRQNCY Media, a first-of-its-kind company that seeks to democratize high-quality and intentional podcast production. Since opening for business in 2018, FRQNCY has worked with Coca-Cola, Apple, the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Diane von Furstenberg, Grady Hospital, SalesLoft, and many others.
FRQNCY’s business model is a first in the podcast industry.
The FRQNCY team brings a variety of skills and experiences to its work, including backgrounds in sound design, music, journalism, marketing, live sports editing, audiobooks, and TV production.
FRQNCY is focused on making space for every voice in the industry, specifically for women podcasters and podcasters of color.
CEO & Founder Michelle Khouri is a first-generation Latina American who comes from a long line of entrepreneurs and activists.
FRQNCY provides every service needed to make and promote a podcast – from show development to post-production to graphic design.
FRQNCY was created out of the belief that high-quality, intentional podcast production should be accessible to everyone.
FRQNCY is the only podcast production company that works with clients of every size, ranging from full-time parents to advocacy groups to fashion moguls to Coca-Cola.
The idea for FRQNCY came to founder Michelle Khouri after she launched her own podcast, The Cultured Podcast, and began doing marketing and web design for other indie podcasters.
In 2019, its first full calendar year in business, FRQNCY ran productions across the East and West Coasts resulting in 7 podcasts launched and several under development.
FRQNCY is on a mission to raise the standard of quality for podcasts while growing the industry through education and accessibility.
