Que pasa con podcasting? This month is an extra special one for us at FRQNCY. Yes, the leaves are finally changing and it’s not blistering hot anymore (por fin), but more importantly it’s the month when we celebrate the Latinx community and all of the creativity, sazón, and #werk they contribute.
Without this community, FRQNCY Media wouldn’t even exist. Our CEO & Founder Michelle Khouri is a proud first generation American from Colombia and is the reason behind this first-of-its-kind podcast company.
To help us celebrate Latin@s everywhere, Michelle put together a list of her favorite podcasts by Latinx creators…so you know it’s legit.

If you’ve just stumbled upon our show, start with episode 1: Mija and work your way up. Listeners can tune into Mija in English, French, Spanish and Mandarin versions. Mija Podcast is produced by Studio Ochenta, a multilingual podcast studio dedicated to raising voices across cultures
Kalila Stormfire’s Economical Magick Services
Glamour spell gone wrong? Astral projection got you untethered? Want to know why your angry dead rich father is haunting you? Consider Kalila Stormfire’s Economical Magick Services.
After a controversial fallout with her coven, Kalila Stormfire must juggle complex clients and an anonymous critic hellbent on besmirching her new business. The decaying urban block where Kal operates appreciates her affordable experience in a broad range of supernatural ailments and remedies. Still, Kal is not sure if her talent is enough to stop whoever has been posting bad reviews and persuading customers to cancel appointments.
If you like stories about minority witches in modern-day working class neighborhoods, meddling love goddesses, and morally ambiguous spellcraft…this is the tale for you.
The Cultured Podcast
Known as FRQNCY’s baby, The Cultured Podcast is brought to you by FRQNCY’s CEO & Founder, Michelle Khouri. Discover artists and art forms you never knew existed in this biweekly podcast hosted by arts and culture-obsessed MK. Every other week, Michelle sits down with wildly imaginative creators, performers, and makers from around the world to have relaxed conversations that leave you wide-eyed and inspired.
The Self-ish Latina
The Self-ish Latina podcast uses a creative storytelling approach that gets under the hood on how Latinx culture, family, and society shape our beliefs and behaviors around who we think we are, what we believe is possible and ultimately, discovering where we belong.
