Emily Krumberger is an audio producer, teaching artist, writer, DJ, and uninvited guest living on Lumbee, Tuscarora, & Occaneechi land. She was born and raised in Prince’s Minneapolis and comes from a background in community media and youth work.
She got her start at KFAI in Minneapolis in 2011 and immediately fell in love with radio and storytelling. During her Master’s in Education program six years later, she focused on radio as a place for youth leadership and group dialogue. Emily helped found the Twin Cities organization, Listen Up Youth Radio in 2018, for which she now serves as a board member.
Emily is finishing a certificate in Documentary Studies from Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies. In her free time, she dreams about a future drag 80s cover band and a past life as Morticia Addams.
