As the world continues to react to America’s consistently abhorrent police brutality with demonstrations, protests, and demands for changes in legislation — actions that are proving as powerful as the very activists driving them —  still others have been working to dismantle oppressive systems another way. That is, through the simple, impactful work of self-education.

So many people are doing the work to make it easy and simple for us all to take action by providing incredibly thorough step-by-step resources. With a critical mass of allies ready to learn and unlearn, publications have responded with excellently curated lists of podcasts that discuss anti-racism: Elle’s Anti-Racist Podcast List, Bello Collective’s 21 Podcasts That Confront Racism in America, and WBUR’s 5 Podcasts To Listen To If You Really Want To Know About Race In America are a few of our favorites.

To supplement these lists, we’ve compiled our own list of independently produced podcasts by Black creators that discuss a broad range of cultural topics through the lens of the Black experience. Listen to, share, and amplify these shows. Then…Seek. Out. More.
